Keith Carson
President, Alameda County Board of Supervisors, 5th DistrictElected in 1992, Supervisor Keith Carson, President of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on a platform dedicated to inclusive and accessible government. He represents the 5th District that includes Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Piedmont, and one-third of Oakland.
Supervisor Carson works to bring together people with talent and creative resources to address our shared problems like access to healthcare, addressing poverty, homelessness, crime, improving business retention, and job scarcity.
He serves on numerous Board of Directors, Alameda County committees and organizations including: the East Bay Economic Development Alliance – one of the largest business organization with public/private partnerships serving the San Francisco/East Bay Area; the Bay Area Council Economic Institute; Chairs the Alameda County Budget Work Group and the Personnel, Administration and Legislation Committees; member of the Health Committee; Board member of the California State Association of Counties, National Association of Counties; Treasurer of the National Organization of Black County Officials; and member of the Alameda County Employees Retirement Association.
