Chris Tien Lee
Principal, Studio T-squareChris Tien Lee, AIA, is principal of Oakland based design firm Studio T-square. He has expanded the firm’s international practice in China, received many design awards from both US and Chinese professional organizations for notable projects in Chengdu, Sanya, and Shanghai regions.
Chris believes that architecture is a reflection of life and the arts. His approach stresses the importance of designing with respect to the context —integrating the environmental characteristics, the influence of the local culture, and the end user’s input to create designs with sensible value and meaning.
After graduated with Bachelor of Architecture degree at Taiwan, Chris continued postgraduate education in US and received a Master’s Degree from UCLA’s Architectural Design program, became a California Licensed Architect in 2003, and a LEED-Accredited Professional in 2007. He currently also serves as guest jury and member of Diablo Valley college’s Architectural Advisory Board.

- Luneng Sanya Bay Master Plan and architectural design, a 7 square kilometer resort mixed-use project.
- Luneng Wenchang Lifestyle Entertainment Center, an open-air shopping and hospitality mixed-use development.
- Wide Horizon Luxehills, Chengdu. Master plan and architectural design for a golf course community.
- Wide Horizon Luxelake, Chengdu. A residential community with experimental architectural prototypes and design.
